Owning a EV could be rewarding in many ways, for instance, how nice would it be to have your car warmed up to 72  10 minutes before you leave work!  …or never having to stop at a gas station to pump gas in the cold, just pull up to the garage and the inductive charger you just parked above turns itself on at the scheduled 11pm off-peak hours, then 10 minutes before you leave home in the morning the electric heater warms the car up for you.  The electronics are very functional regarding the users needs.  If you like to analyze data, all the power graphs you’d like to review are logged and available for uploading.  Does the ride seem different from yesterday?  Analyze the kW power graph to see if possibly the brakes are sluggish or review the temperature  graphs to see if the motor controller is working harder.  No need to guess which sensor is the problem, there’s only 3 or 4 to diagnosis opposed to more than a dozen needed to manage internal combustion engine power. Battery pack low?  You’ll make it home.  The motor controller is programmed to automatically enable creep- mode to conserve power. You may have to ride the shoulder at 10 mph but you won’t be walking. Ohh…, Did I forget to mention that your ride is a restored classic that gets you to work cheaper than your neighbors Camary!   Maybe you can talk your neighbor into converting his car, after all, we’ll provide you with detailed step-by-step documentation so you can convert another car yourself.
